The Titans star is one of three Gold Coast players included in the squad, with Jamal Idris named in the starting side at centre and William Zillman named as 18th man. Players from the six clubs still in finals contention were not considered for a clash viewed as a warm-up to the end of season Test match between Australia and New Zealand, this year set to take place in Townsville on October 13. With a Kangaroos spot up for grabs following the retirement of Test prop Petero Civoniceva, Gold Coast's rivals Brisbane dominate the Prime Minister's starting pack. Forwards Andrew McCullough, Ben Hannant, Matt Gillett and Corey Parker will all start, with Hannant likely to battle it out with Wests Tigers forward Aaron Woods and club team-mate Josh McGuire for a spot on the Australia bench. McGuire will start the Prime Minister's clash on the bench alongside Broncos team-mates Ben T'eo and Peter Wallace. Seven more players have been named in the Kangaroos' train-on squad with their teams already knocked out of NRL contention. Sharks trio Paul Gallen, Wade Graham and Bryce Gibbs, Gold Coast pair Greg Bird and Nate Myles and Broncos duo Justin Hodges and Sam Thaiday have been included in the preliminary train-on squad, with more players to be named as theirs teams are eliminated from the finals series. A number of players have already withdrawn from the train-on squad due to injury, including Ben Creagh, Brett Morris, Trent Merrin, Beau Scott of the Dragons, Roosters duo Mitchell Pearce and Jake Friend, Wests Tigers hooker Robbie Farah and Panthers forwards Tim Grant and Luke Lewis.
