Published on Sunday 12 August 2012 19:45 WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats hooker Paul Aiton has penned a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2015 season. The new deal was announced half-time during Wakefield's thrilling 33-32 win over St Helens today, Sunday, and will see the Papua New Guinea man contracted to Wildcats beyond the current licensing period. It also sees him become the first player to pledge his future to the club for when Wakefield hope to move into their new stadium at Newmarket. The 27-year-old was arguably Wakefield's player of the season before a broken jaw, suffered from a mugging while on holiday in Spain, forced him out of action. Wildcats head coach Richard Agar is hopeful Aiton will be available for selection before the end of the season but Wakefield fans can look forward to seeing three more seasons from the former Cronulla Sharks man thanks to the new deal.
