The Supreme Court has refused a bail application by convicted murderer, Theo Yasause.
Sitting as a single judge, Justice Collin Makail, threw out the application this morning, saying it lacks sufficient facts. Yasause was seeking bail on medical grounds awaiting a decision on his review application that went before a three men bench last December. Yasause claimed in court a week ago that an order by the late Correctional Service Commissioner, Martin Balthazer stopping him from receiving medical treatment has resulted in his medical condition worsening. This relates to his eyesight, heart, tuberculosis and gastric problems. He is serving 30 years imprisonment at Bomana Jail for the murder of former PNG Kumul Rugby League star, Aquila Emil in 2011.
