Police in Port Moresby say, the country's premier university, the University of Papua New Guinea must not tolerate criminal offences from PNG's future leaders.
National Capital District Metropolitan Superintendent Andy Bawa's comments, follows an attempted rape incident on a female student over the weekend. According to police, the student victim and her boyfriend were returning from partying, when a group of student boys chased the boy away and attempted the act. UPNG securities and police are working together to identify and round up the suspects. But Mr. Bawa says, the act itself paints a bad image on the country's future leaders.
