In the National Capital District, the stage is set for the Governor's Unity March tomorrow.
School children will be taking the lead. Powes Parkop said they have been divided into four regions, and will start marching from designated spots and meeting at a central location before marching together to the Konedobu Oval. The march begins after the official Flag Raising ceremony at Independence Hill, with activities to continue at the Konedobu Oval until the Flag Lowering ceremony there. Mr Parkop has bought about 200 meri-blouses and shirts for the children, and he's urging everyone to join in the march, with their traditional PNG colors. Speaking on NBC's Dabai Program today, Mr Parkop said the theme 'Unity in Diversity, Prosperity without Violence' reflects Papua New Guinea today: Comments are closed.
