Member for Kundiawa Gembogl, Tobias Kulang, has described the
sacking of Kerenga Kua as Justice Minister and Attorney-General, as regretful. Kulang said, the sacking of a senior statesman and an expert in the country's legal fraternity, is a very sad situation. Prime Minister Peter O'Neill announced the Government's decision on Tuesday. Kulang said, Mr Kua has provided very active leadership, is vocal and a wise Government Minister. "Somebody like Kerenga was working very hard in his ministry, transforming, providing effective leadership in that particular sector has been sacked so as a colleague MP from Simbu I am regretful but once again its the call of the Prime Minister and the government of the day but I can only says that I wish the kind of work and momentum Kerenga has created is sustained and maintained by the new Attorney General" Social media has been flooded with comments from Simbu people, decrying the Prime Minister's sacking of Kua and appointment of Ano Pala as his replacement.
