The Waigani Family Court has dismissed adultery cases of three parliamentarians alleged to have committed the offence with the same woman.
The case was dismissed this morning on technical grounds, relating to timing when the case was file. The magistrate said six months mandatory requirement to file a case at the family court was well overdue, with the allege offences committed almost a year ago on different occasions. The three M-Ps were allege to have offered money from five hundred kina to eight hundred and one even offering to repay the lady's bride price and marry her. After being suspicious the husband threatened and questioned the lady, who told her story and the matter was brought to court. Lawyers representing the three had denied the allegations and made submissions for the case to be dismissed citing lack of evidence and time factor among others. This resulted in the case being dismissed. Comments are closed.
