The Supreme Court is holding Police Commissioner, Tom Kulunga and his
former Deputy, Geoffrey Vaki, for contempt again. This is for drafting a consent order, to resolve the issue of reinstating Vaki out of court, whilst the High Court was still deliberating on the stay order application by Kulunga. Both parties will appear before the Chief Justice, Sir Salamo Injia tomorrow, to explain the reason for drafting the orders. Meantime, the National Court will hand down its decision this Friday, on Kulunga's contempt charge, where he failed to follow a court order to reinstate Vaki, after he was illegally terminated. This is after the Supreme Court this morning, refused Kulunga's submission to stop the ruling of the National Court, which found him guilty of contempt. Sir Salamo ruled, that one process of the lower court has not been completed and it would be an abuse of process, if he stop the National Court decision. Comments are closed.
