Several Secondary Schools in Port Moresby today held a ONE DAY Carnival at the newly constructed Sir John Guise Stadium.
The Sir John Guise Outdoor stadium which will be referred to as BSP Stadium during the two weeks of the Games was tested by Port Moresby Schools Association, Port Moresby Athletics Association and Team PNG with athletic events during the Carnival. Meanwhile tomorrow the newly built Beach Volleyball and Hockey Fields will be trialled with men’s and women’s round robin matches. Gates will open to the public at 9:00am and will close at 1:30pm for these events. Following later in the evening will be the SP Hunters match against Souths Logan Magpies at the Main Outdoor Stadium and is expected to be fully packed to capacity.
