A young high school girl was found raped and murdered near the wildlife center in Erima Port Moresby. NCD Acting Metropolitan Superintendent N’Dranou Perou has confirmed the incident confirmed but says that no proper information has been found yet people have not yet come to police with reports. According to Mr Perou, not even the relatives of the girl concerned have turned up to report to police, and the girl is still unidentified. Police said that the young girl had being on a drinking spree with other student from other schools on the last day of term one. She was then taken to the hills in the area and repeatedly raped before being slaughtered. “The crime could have being cult related or not, I wouldn’t know,” said Perou, “only those present at the scene may know the true story.” A man was arrested and taken into custody for questioning relating to the murder, however, was released due to lack of information and evidence. Mr. Perou calls on those with information to approach the police while an investigation is being carried out on the case.
