Widespread rumours of Paul Paraka having a confrontation with the PM Peter
O’Neill and Jimmy Maladina over the recent legal payment to the Paraka lawyers are not true and have been dispelled by the office of the PM. The false text message in circulation reads in part, “Paul Paraka punch PM Peter O’Neill and Jimmy Maladina 4 using his law firm to steal K71.8m.” In response, PM’s Media Advisor Susuve Laumea responded denying that there was no fight, no meeting and no punch up. He said both PM and Mr. Paraka have never met and have never been on talking terms since August 2011. Meantime, Communications Minister Jimmy Miringtoro warned people to be aware of scams and other misleading information posted on the social media and via SMS messages saying they must be double checked. He said anyone caught spreading false information will be dealth with. Comments are closed.
