The Student Riot that happened in the University of Goroka that caused much damage to school properties in the recent months was very devastating and has been investigated which will see a final report being released by end of this week. This was made known by UOG Chancellor Prof. Joseph Sukwianomb this morning, who also pointed out that a draft report on the investigations was released to relevant persons recently but the finalized one should be completed this week and release. However, Mr Sukwianomb could not disclose any content of the investigation report and the findings but says it should be made available once the investigation report is finalized. In the meantime, he said that University of Goroka Campus is now peaceful as students are attending class and lecturers have forgone their intentions on going on strike. "We also extended the academic year till the end of November which has also allowed us to revise our budget to take care of this extension." "Semester two started well and should be completed successfully as planed according to the extension period by the end of November 2015," said Professor Sukwianomb.
