Kompiam Ambum MP John Pundari has appealed a National Court decision granting a full trial into his election win.
The case went before Supreme Court Judge Salatiel Lenalia last week but he stood himself down due to a conflict of interest situation. This morning Justice Dereck Hartshorn took up the case and had to adjourn to next Tuesday for Pundari to serve notice of appearance to the first respondent. Pundari's Lawyer told the court, the first respondent Lucas Neah was served his court documents this week and they needed more time. Both parties will appear next Tuesday for the hearing. Meantime, a lawyer was told to dress up properly before appearing in court. Justice Ere Kariko had to stop a particular lawyer who was presenting a case and sent him outside to be properly attired. The incident happen this morning at the Waigani National Court. Comments are closed.
