Public Prosecutor, Pondros Kaluwin says, he's studying the misconduct allegations against Kavieng Open Member, Ben Micah.
He says, he will decide on whether or not, to ask the Chief Justice, to appoint a Leadership Tribunal to investigate the allegations. Mr. Kaluwin said this in a statement, when confirming the referral of Mr. Micah to his office, by the Ombudsman Commission, on four misconduct allegations. They relate to interfering with the Board of P-N-G Power Limited in the administration of the entity and failing to comply with Ombudsman Commission instructions for him NOT to interfere with the control and management of P-P-L Board, as well as using his office for personal benefit. This relates to the leader continuing to occupy a unit at the Grand Papua Hotel at the cost of over two-million-Kina annually, at three-thousand-and-80-Kina per day, despite advice from the I-P-B-C Board. He's also being referred for publicly denying through a media conference, that he had no knowledge of P-P-L's financial crisis, despite having being informed by the Acting Chairman of P-P-L Board and the Independent Public Business Corporation Managing Director. These allegation occurred between April 2013 and May 2014.
