Police in Papua New Guinea's capital Port Moresby are on high alert for any opportunists who may take advantage of the boycott taking place in the University of PNG Campus. Metropolitan Superintendent Ben Turi said his men have been patrolling the streets of Waigani to ensure no major disturbances occur to disturb the peace and tranquillity the city enjoys. He has assured the people of NCD and business houses as well as the international community that their security and safety is of high priority and is equally confident that students conducting the forum and boycott at UPNG will maintain peace and good order. He said his men have no authority to stop the forum or boycott which is an administrative matter for the school.
