A police reservist has been detained for allegedly sexually molesting a seven-year-old girl in Northern on Monday, Southern Region police commander Allan Kundi says.
He said yesterday that the reserve sergeant was caught in the act by the victim’s relatives after they searched for her when she went missing from her house. Kundi said that the parents left her the in the house at Huvivi village by herself and went to Popondetta. “The suspect went into the house and lured her into the nearby bushes,” he said. “He was touching her when her relatives caught him and chased him into the bush. “They finally caught him and brought him to the police station in Popondetta.” Kundi said that the suspect had been charged with sexually touching a minor and was detained without bail. Meanwhile, Biru Jail commander Teddy Biaga said two escapees were now back in prison after escaping on Dec 10. Comments are closed.
