Two suspects believed to be ring leaders of a cult movement in Esaála District in Milne Bay, are in police custody.
Some ritual caves and weird objects were discovered after a raid on the group's base on Mount Oyatabu, last week. Police now believe the cult is a network that remained under the radar. "There were reports at least three women were apprehended by police in a raid of a group of doomsayers last on Mt Oeaabu in Esa'ala district and in an update, reports now claim in fact there are two.Police are looking for other heads of the group who too gather had convinced several hundreds of people who believed their ancestors would rise up to bring them gold and riches Sawahedi community leader Damien Bobole who brought us the story last week informed us at the weekend the ultimatum goal for the group was the promise of a cash driven lifestyle despite several date predictions lapsing already.He says followers have now begun returning to their villagers and are quiet although there are few defiant and believed police represent government and faceless rich people who are jealous of those who've discovered the secret to an easy good life for them"
