Australian Federal Police (AFP) say they are still investigating after a woman was allegedly found trying to import a commercial quantity of drugs from Papua New Guinea.
Mary Yawari, 40, has been arrested and charged after customs officers at Cairns Airport in far north Queensland allegedly found four kilograms of methamphetamine in her bag on Saturday. She appeared in the Cairns Magistrates Court yesterday and has been remanded in custody until December. An AFP spokesman says it is still unknown who the drugs were for. They say more arrests are possible. ABC Comments are closed.
