A police officer was stabbed and robbed off 4-thousand Kina in cash, in Port Moresby in the week leading up to Christmas.
Police in the capital city say, the officer Kongop Kape, aged 65 from Nipa in Southern Highlands was tricked to Baruni, where the incident happened. Kape was tricked to Baruni by some men who claimed they were Christians and wanted to share the Bible with him. At Baruni, officer Kape was confronted by the four suspects, who held him up, using a bush-knife. Kape was stabbed by the suspects, who went ahead to rob him of his 4-thousand Kina in cash. He was later rescued and picked up by a police patrol unit, who took him to hospital. No arrests have been made, as police investigations continue. Comments are closed.
