The Opposition has indicated it will seek a court order to stop the release of the District Support Improvement Program Funds for this year.
Deputy Opposition Leader and Member for Bulolo Sam Basil said this is because members from their side have yet to receive outstanding funding from last year. Mr. Basil said an outstanding of 7-million Kina for each districts represented by Opposition members is yet to be released, apart from the 3-million Kina that was released earlier by the Finance Department. Basil accused Prime Minister Peter O'Neill and Finance Minister James Marape of discriminating opposition members. But the Prime Minister responded, denying any discriminatory treatment over the D-S-I-P money. Comments are closed.
