Opposition Leader, Belden Namah, has slammed the government's adjournment of Parliament by a further two months, saying it was a complete abuse of the House.
74 M-P's voted in favor and five against the adjournment to August 26. Leader of Government Business, James Marape, had asked that the Parliament sitting be adjourned, due to the 5th Melanesian Festival of Arts and Culture and the Special Melanesian Spearhead Group Leaders Summit, this week. He said, three Prime Ministers from the M-S-G will be in the country including, Solomon Islands Gordon Darcy Lilo, and Vanuatu's Joe Natuman. New Caledonia's F-L-N-K-S Spokesman and Chairman of the M-S-G, Victor Tutugoro, is already in the country. Mr. Namah, described this as as a waste of time for M-P's, who had sacrificed their time and money to get to Port Moresby, only to have Parliament adjourned. Comments are closed.
