The PNG Opposition Leader is challenging the Governor of the Bank of Papua New Guinea to come out and verify statements by the Prime Minister that proceeds from the sale of the PNG Liquefied Natural Gas are in a Trust Account with the bank.
Don Polye is reeling from statements by the Prime Minister that the landowner component from the LNG revenues is parked with the Bank of PNG, is not true. Peter O'Neil told Hela landowners in his recent trip to the province last week, that their component of the money is with the Bank of Papua New Guinea, and will only be paid out once all landowner identification is completed. But Don Polye is challenging the B-P-N-G to come out and say who is telling the truth.
