The National Government has given the approval to subsidize fuels for rural airstrips in the country.
Treasurer, Patrick Pruaitch revealed this in Parliament, saying, Cabinet recently took that decision to a number of heavy diesel users and the time of fuel being available for use in rural areas. Meanwhile, Mr Pruaitch says he will make a statement in parliament concerning the Kina value and the status of the country's foreign reserve. He was responding to questions from Deputy Opposition Leader, Sam Basil, on the fuel issue and how much foreign reserve P-N-G has.
