Prime Minister Peter O'Neill said the country's economy will continue to grow into the future with an aim of a balance budget in 2017.
He proved critics wrong that the country's economy never slowed down after the construction phase of the P-N-G L-N-G project. Mr O'Neill said the high level deficit budgets experienced in the last two years was expected and the government is ensuring that it will decline this year and on wards. He said the economic growth was maintained because the government made a deliberate decision in investing in infrastructure. The Prime Minister said the growth level continues and the government will maintains its focus.
