Forest Minister Douglas Tomuriesa says, lack of funding and manpower remains a major obstacle for the PNG Forest Authority, to monitor and strictly enforce forestry regulations.
He told Parliament today, that if the forest authority has enough funding and manpower, it can do more for the industry and country. Mr Tomuriesa says steps have been taken to review acts and agreements, to improve the industry in the country. The PNG Forest Authority has also developed four major programs, under the government's development priority program to improve the industry. Comments are closed.
