Papua New Guinea Baramundis have started of well by winning with four wickets over strong Kenyan side. Kenyas Collins Obuya played a captain’s innings of an unbeaten half a century, but that did not stop Papua New Guinea in the opening match of the Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers at played at the International Cricket Council Academy grounds in Dubai, on Friday.

Kila Pala (46) top-scored for the winners. He was supported by Geraint Jones (44), and Tony Ura 25). At one point, the winners were 102 for 2 in 10 overs. At the same point Kenya were 80 for 2. Irfan Karim, who batted well against Hong Kong and knocked a run a ball 37, was dropped in the squad that faced played.
