Prime Minister Peter O'Neill has told Parliament this morning that a Commission of Inquiry will be established as soon as possible to investigate this morning’s police shooting incident at the University of PNG campus. The Prime Minister, Peter O’NEILL when responding to the question by the MP for Rabaul, Dr Allan MARAT. Dr Marat says this is not something they want to see happen to students of UPNG and accused certain leaders for inciting the protest that led to this morning’s shooting. A frustrated Oro Governor, Gary JUFAA urged the PM not to falsely accuse Members of the Opposition for inciting this situation. The Prime Minister says the matter is unfortunate but it is now a POLICE MATTER and the COI will get to the bottom of the matter.
