A twin otter aircraft belonging to Hevilift crashed this morning with 9 passengers on board after taking off from Woitape in Goilala District to Port Moresby.
According to NBC news Reporter Rebecca Passingan at the crash site, 2 passengers and 2 expatriate pilots are dead while 5 survived. Out of the six, two are in critical condition and are airlifted to Port Moresby after a Hevii Lift twin otter crashed some two Kilometers away from Mt Los near Laloki outside Port Moresby. According to eye witness, the plane crash around 9- forty am, after taking off from Woitape bound for Port Moresby. Meanwhile, , Hevilift Management have confirmed to news team back in the newsroom the crash involving one of their twin otter plane. Hevilift Base Manger Jeff Loka, while confirming the accident, said, the company will make a formal statement, later. But in the meantime, the company's priority is to attend to the incident.
