The Prime Minister said, Papua New Guineans must be proud that the Government is rebuilding the public service machinery. Peter O'Neill, said examples include changes in the police and defence forces. He said, PNG has reached a defining moment in the country's history which demands changes in the way businesses are conducted and services delivered. "This is something we must protect the public service from. Public Service must be independent, must not be afraid to speak up. Speak up with facts that will back your arguments, speak up with your performance that shows your results and you will see the respect that the community and the country will have for you. We in our government are not interested in doing your job, we've got enough on our plates. We want the public service machinery to take ownership of massive resources that we are now investing in." Prime Minister O'Neill was speaking during the Public Service Executive Leaders Forum in Port Moresby yesterday. NBC/PNGfacts
