Meanwhile Mr O’ Neil arrived to an arousing welcome in Guangzhou, China, this afternoon.
He was given the red carpet welcome by senior government dignitaries of the People's Republic of China and Papua New Guinea. His visit to China is to specifically attend and address the 2nd China-Pacific Islands Countries Forum tomorrow, and to witness the signing of the Agreement on the Economic and Technical Cooperation between China and P-N-G with detailed references to the grant aid and Concessional Loan Contract for Papua New Guinea’s Project of Electronic Identification card system. Mr. O’Neil will also meet with the Vice Minister of China, Wang Yang, to discuss and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. He will also meet with senior officials of the Chinese EXIM Bank and the Minister for Commerce, Gao Hucheng, before attending a dinner reception hosted by Vice Premier Yang. O'Neill says, this is the opportunity to meet with these executives and discuss matters of significance to the country. Mr O’Neill returns to Port Moresby on the weekend. Comments are closed.
