The country's think tank is calling on the government to protect the increasing brain-drain in the country.
National Research Institute, Director, Dr Charles Yala, said tertiary institutions are currently suffering and struggling to find quality academics because of many reasons. He's emphasized the need for quality academics to produce quality human resources to develop the country. Doctor Yala, said without these brains, PNG will continue to hire foreign consultants and human resources from overseas. Speaking at the recent 2015 Economic Policy Analysis Course graduation, Doctor Yala said depleting of top brains in the country is a serious issue which the government must promptly address.
