Three new ministers have been sworn into office this afternoon, as Prime Minister, Peter O'Neil, moves to make new cabinet reshuffle.
The new ministers are Member for Gumine, Nick Kuman, Member for Henganofi Robert Atiyafa and Member for Sohe, Delilah Gore. In the new reshuffle, Nick Kuman takes over the Education ministry from Finance Minister, James Marape who has been in that ministry for awhile, after former minister, Paru Aihi lost that ministry through a court of disputed returns and by-election. Member for Henganofi, Robert Atiyafa is now the new MInister for Police, taking over from Nixon Duban who has been switched to head the petroleum and energy ministry. In this reshuffle, United Resources party leader and member for Hagen Open, William Duma has been removed from the Petroleum and Energy Ministry. The member for Ijivitari, David Arore has also lost the Higher Education, Science and Technology ministry to member for Sohe, Delilah Gore. The new Ministers were sworn in this afternoon at Government House by Governor General Sir Michael Ogio, witnessed by Prime Minister, Peter O'Neill, Treasurer Don Polye and several senior ministers. Prime Minister Peter O' Neil said, the changes were done to maintain stability in government. Both the Prime minister and Treasurer, Don Polye, thanked the outgoing Ministers for their contribution, while welcoming the new ministers.
