Port Moresby city will have a new hospital soon, to cater for the increasing population.
Minister for Health and HIV AIDS Michael Malabag said, the new hospital will be built at Gerehu suburb, where majority of the cities' population reside. '"Port Moresby Hospital needs another hospital, the population has expanded. I have signed a deceleration already. And that hospital will be built at Gerehu because when you look at it the concentration of the population is in the Moresby North West area, and that is why we need another hospital for Port Moresby." Meanwhile Mr Malabag said, five-million Kina has been allocated for a new hospital in central province. However, he said, the Governor, Kila Haoda, has yet to respond with planning and logistical needs for this project. Comments are closed.
