The National Alliance Party has renewed its alliance with Prime Minister Peter O'Neil's National Congress Party, to continue stability within the Government.
National Alliance Parliamentary Wing Leader and Minister for Forest and Climate Change Patrick Pruaitch, gave the assurance during Mr. O'Neil's recent visit to Maprik District. Minister Pruaitch said National Alliance believes in government stability and will continue to be a strong coalitioin partner with PNC. "Mi sanap hia namel long ol pipol blo mi long Maprik, ol pipol bilong Wosera-Gawi, pipol blo Nuku, pipol blo Angoram, pipol blo Wewak, pipol blo Aitape-Lumi, olsem lida bilong National Alliance pati, pati bilong dispela ples, mi assurim yu long sapot bilong National Alliance," Pruaitc said. The assurance follows the government's recent sacking of Triumph Heritage Empowerment party leader and Treasurer Don Polye. This move by the Government has got many people talking, including the Opposition, with many political observers and the general public, predicting a rift in the political marriage between major coalition partners. Minister Pruaitch said the National Alliance does not believe in a mid-term government, adding that NA stands ready to support the O'Neil-Dion Government, face development challenges of Papua New Guinea.
