Prime Minister Peter O'Neill has said, despite the current hard times face with commodity prices, mining and petroleum sector should not experience more bad news.
Prime Minister Peter O'Neill said this message on to mining and petroleum companies this morning at the opening of the 2015 Mining and Petroleum Conference this morning. O'Neill says the future looks positive in that the government is managing things through the budget by maintaining priority areas, including mining and petroleum sector are getting attention in getting important services, so the economy remains sound even through this time. The three days conference will feature heads of various organisations, including mining and petroleum, who will be presenting on the various mining issues and opportunities at this time low commodity price. The conference today in Port Moresby saw over 700 people attending.
