A leading female lawyer in the country says, the government's move to restore capital punishment is not the way to tackle the country's violent crime problem. Lady Winifred Kamit, who is the founding chairwoman of Coalition for Change, says she finds it difficult to understand how anyone who advocates against violence could promote legalised violence as a solution. Meantime, Lady Kamit says Papua New Guinean's should be grateful to Australia for providing 3-million Dollars in funding for the new Family and Sexual Violence Case Management Centre in Lae.
