The Women Arise group in Lae visited the Southern Highlands students from Unitech in an effort to show support to the students as well as comfort during this time of mourning for the loss of their fellow colleague. The group was led by the National President of Women Arise, Sarah Haoda Todd and the President for the Morobe chapter, Carol Yawing who both stated that their visit was simply to show support and bring comfort. “Your parents are back at home in the villages and maybe wondering how you all are at this time, that is why we as Morobean women and mothers have come to show our concern and support in this time of grief” Carol Yawing told the students. Food items were contributed by the group towards the Haus Krai of the Late Graham Romanong and also to assist with rations for their stay in Lae until they travel back to their Province. The student representatives responded in appreciation to the initiative taken by the women, which was the second time they had visited the students.
