Contractors have started preparatory work for the upgrading of the Lae city roads.
This is following the signing of 227 million Kina contracts between the State and three major road construction companies last week. Four contracts have been awarded for the pavement rehabilitation and concrete surfacing within the city and the upgrading of major road arteries in the fringes of Lae. Two of the contracts were awarded to Shorncliffe Limited, one to Dekenai Construction and another to East West Number One Limited. Works Minister Francis Awesa urged the three companies to begin work immediately on the road projects. The work will spread over a two year period. Comments are closed.
