The National Honours and Awards Council said, it will advice Buckingham Palace, about the fate of Police Commissioner Toami Kulunga, after he was convicted and sentenced to jail for contempt of court.
Defending the Queen's awarding of Knight Bachelor, for a title of "Sir", the Council said, it deliberated on Kulunga's nomination months before the change of fate. Official Secretary to the Governor General and the National Honours and Awards Council, said Kulunga was nominated for distinguished services to the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary as a senior officer for 30 years and as Police Commissioner. However, he said Buckingham Palace will be informed of the fate that has be-fallen Kulunga. Comments are closed.
