Member for Sinesine Yongomugl Kerenga Kua today officially announced his resignation from the National Alliance Party. Mr. Kua said his resignation was on popular demand by over 70’000 people of his electorate who refuse to support the instances of gross mismanagement by the government of Prime Minister Peter O’Neill. “Whilst a single Parliamentary leader’s vote of no confidence against the PM is of no consequence, it is an important statement of principal in support of the silent majority in Papua New Guinea,” said Mr. Kua. He said this country was subjected to gross mismanagement and there was neither transparency nor accountability. He said PM Peter O’Neill is refusing to take responsibility and to properly account for it to the citizens of this country. Mr. Kua blamed the PM for using public funds to fight his personal wars and defences. “I will no longer lend my number to support a government led by Peter O’Neill which is destroying the country, the economy, and its standard governance and accountability,” said Mr. Kua.
