PNG Defence Force soldiers attacked students of Kilakila Secondary School .
According to a mother of one of the students, the boys had their camp at the Taurama Baracks and one of the students who was the son of a soldier had on his father’s army coat, was assaulted by some soldiers. "The soldiers belted him for wearing the coat of which the other Sepik students seeing their college being beaten by guys older than him, stepped in and bashed the soldiers. The incident happened on Friday night. On Saturday morning when the Sepik male students were about to get ready at their stall at the cultural show venue, the soldiers mobilised, came and broke down their stall and bashed everyone of them. The concerned mother is now appealing to relevant authorities to look into this matter as it is frightening how grown up man in the army can do harm to innocent secondary school students.
