The National Capital District Commission, says it has spent about four-million kina on the betel-nut ban, in Port Moresby.
Deputy City Manger Honk Kiap, says they used this amount on media awareness, police, city rangers or enforcement units and the construction of new markets outside the city, since August. Kiap adds, its money well spent, as residents see much improvement in the cleanliness of Port Moresby and the Commission will continue to fund this operation, until it gets the desired outcome. Meanwhile the betel-nut ban policy and regulation framework, is still being worked on. Comments are closed.
