Hanuabada came to a standstill today as villagers come to terms with the loss of two of their sons. The deceased are 36 year old Nicholas Rarua, who leaves behind a young child and a heavily pregnant wife, and 29 year old Toka Gaudi, a driver for Lalokau FM. Both deceased have left a hole in the hearts of their brave fathers who were present to speak to the media today during a Press Conference. The conference was held at the exact spot where the victims were shot to death.
Mr Davai Rarua and Gaudi Toka are in shock and disbelief at how and why their sons could have been killed in such a manner meters away from where the raid had taken place at the market yesterday. This is what Rarua had to say The Village has spoken, the roadblocks will continue until investigations are completed and a PEACEFUL protest march will be held next week Tuesday to tell POLICE and the Govt that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, they want those accountable to be brought to justice, they change in the enforcement of the betelnut ban and they want PEACE. Legal advice is also being sought at this stage PNGFM
