Northern Province Governor, Gary Juffa is warning companies and individuals intending to develop the province's resources, to seek endorsement first from the Provincial Executive Council, before moving in.
Mr Juffa issued the warning after a Malaysian based company Iris Corporation Limited, advertised in Malaysia that it owns 100-thousand hectares of land in the province, for agricultural developments. The Governor claims the P-E-C is not aware of this arrangement, and that he will investigate the issue. Governor Juffa will also be writing to the Malaysian Government, concerning the issue. He revealed that there are about six other instances, where investors are coming into the province, without going through proper processes. Comments are closed.
