The lack of police cooperation in the joint Police and Army investigation into a shooting incident involving a soldier last month, has seen it not started yet. The Army’s Chief of Staff, Col. Mark Goina said this lack of cooperating from the police sees this investigation taking a long time to start and it at this time that results should be provided now. “We need to find out what really happened, so that who is responsible for this incident will be dealt with accordingly,” said Goina. The last time the Army sent out word to jointly launch the investigation; the Police Commissioner has not given a response to them yet, but Goina hopes that things will get off ground soon. Meantime, the driver of the vehicle that the soldier was in when he got wounded in the police shooting, has already been laid to rest in his home province of Enga a week ago.
