The Northern Provincial Assembly today removed Gary Juffa as Governor, and elected a new successor.
Mr. Arore and a group of Local Level Government Presidents forced open the Provincial Assembly Hall in Popondetta and held their meeting amid tight security. Mr. Arore was nominated by Town Mayor Norman Ivahupa, after a Vote of No-Confidence motion was introduced against Mr. Juffa. The motion was seconded by Ioma LLG President Gideon Jagita, with all members of the assembly voting in support. The presidents accused Mr. Juffa of with-holding their funds, mismangement and misconduct. They further claimed he was never in the province to attend to pressing issues. Mr. Juffa who was absent from the meeting described actions by the group as illegal and unConstitutional. He's calling on the people of Oro to remain calm, and allow the law to take its course.
