A family of four has been buried alive by a landslip in the remote village in the Madang province.
The family was sleeping when the incident occurred at Inion Village in the border of Madang, Sumkar and Middle Ramu Districts. Madang Governor, Jim Kas, has offered some assistance to the people, to rebuild their lives. Government authorities in the province revealed that the incident had occurred in the early hours last Thursday morning, killing the mother, father and the two children ages 7 and 12. Preliminary investigation by the Health worker who is station at the Iniam Aid Post revealed the landslip may have caused by the Earthquake which rocked Madang province last Thursday morning. Their bodies were retrieved by the locals and buried last Friday.
