A notice of motion filed by Prime Minister Peter O'Neill to have a slip rule application heard by a Three Men Supreme Court Bench has been dismissed The decision was reached this afternoon. The matter was heard earlier by three judges, and the ruling handed down hours later. Lawyer Tiffany Twivey on behalf of her client, Prime Minister Peter O'Neill gave reasons why the same court slipped in their ruling, when handing down a decision on the appeal of James Marape recently. This relates to taxation matters on payments made by the State to Paul Paraka lawyers since 2003 . Grounds raised by Twivey centred around uncertainty by the bench regarding certain interim orders issued on two separate dates. This was not accepted, as the judges decided the application has no prospect of success and all previous orders were dismissed by the July 6th decision.
