Papua New Guinea's only cancer treatment machine is back in operation. Health Secretary, Pascoe Kase, told Radio Australia's Pacific Beat program, that the nation faces a number of health challenges and has limited resources to combat them. Cancer patients in PNG have to travel to Lae for treatment at the specialist unit in Angau Memorial hospital, where the cobalt machine has been treating up to 30 patients a day since it was brought into the country in 2009. Mr. Kase says that while the cancer treatment machine is operating again, it will need to be replaced in the near future Pacific Beat, Radio Australia
