The people and community of Barola in the Eastern Highlands Province have now organised themselves to go into Goroka Town and bring home the body of late high school teacher Gibson Albert, who was brutally murdered a month ago.
Community leader and spokesman Allan Mosa confirmed this morning, saying that their negotiations with leaders from Western Highlands is still ongoing but at a snail’s pace. “I am appealing to the leaders of Western Highlands to especially Pais Wingti, William Duma, Koi Trapei and others to come and have a round table discussion with us the leaders of the community in looking at ways in which we can all work together in addressing this issue and giving peace to the people of Barola,” Mr Mosa said. With nothing being done about the death of the late high school teacher from Barola, this has brought about much disappointment to the relatives and the community.
